This week we are looking at (and listening to) a 78rpm disc containing promotional information for an upcoming radio show that was to be titled Johnson's Wax Entertainers. It was scheduled to air in 1931 in coordination with a promotional campaign by Johnson's Wax in which they were giving away 1000 of their new $39.50 electric floor polishers. ($39.50 was a LOT of money during the depression)
It is a fascinating program containing some fairly big names including Harry Von Zell, Ted Weems and His Orchestra, and Helen Rowland handling the vocals!
