Description:
A mock wall clock moves from 10:00:05 to 10:00:03, giving -2 seconds by subtraction. A separate monotonic counter moves from 100.0 to 100.4, giving a 0.4-second duration.
Keep calendar timestamps for when an event happened and use a duration clock for how long work took. These are different fields with different jobs.
An original illustrated concept lesson from OriginChainDB Console Academy; no live product result is claimed.
