Concatenation, as a synthesis technique, has gone through rapid development alongside the increasing speed of laptop computer technology. 2 plug-ins, written in C for the SuperCollider music environment, Conanalyse and Concatenate, allows a musician/composer to create a custom sound corpus and then create synthesis definitions for live performance use. The efficiency of these plug-ins allow multiple channels of concatenation, creating stereo and surround sound environments.
