Get-DfsrBacklog Loop: Check Every DFS-R Pair

Published 26, Oct 2026

TechSnips by ATA Learning

Description:
Loop Get-DfsrBacklog over your DFS Replication groups, folders, and connections to find the pair that is behind.

Get-DfsReplicationGroup, Get-DfsReplicatedFolder, and Get-DfsrConnection supply every combination to check. Get-DfsReplicationGroup skips the SYSVOL group unless you add -IncludeSysvol.

Save each count with its group, folder, source, and destination, then sort descending. Connections are one-way, so both directions of a pair get checked.
