English language education is evolving in response to multimodal communication and artificial intelligence. Learners no longer interact solely with printed texts, but also with visual, digital, and AI-generated content that shapes how they understand and produce meaning. This shift invites teachers to rethink literacy beyond traditional reading and writing, embracing multiple literacies that include digital, media, visual, and AI awareness.
This session examines how artificial intelligence and digital resources are transforming ELT, highlighting both their pedagogical potential and their ethical and cognitive challenges. Rather than viewing technology as an end in itself, it is approached as a means that must be used critically, ethically, and pedagogically to enhance communication, learner autonomy, and meaningful language development.

He holds a degree in English Teaching from Universidad Andrés Bello and completed international studies at Brigham Young University (USA). He pursued the Specialization Program in English Language Teaching and earned a Master’s degree in Higher Education at Universidad Ricardo Palma.
He holds international certifications such as CAE, TOEFL ITP, MET, and TKT. He specializes in educational technology and digital innovation in ELT and currently works as Academic Support at the Language Center of URP and as a Teacher Trainer in the Specialization Program in English Language Teaching.
