Description:
This is a 24/7 livestream of the US military's radio communications system (HFGCS) using a rotation of KiwiSDRs.
At this time, known primary frequencies are 4724 kHz, 8992 kHz, 11175 kHz, and 15016 kHz. These channels are regularly used and can be expected to have the most activity.
Additional frequencies either part of or considered 'immediately adjacent' to the network include 9031 kHz, 13200 kHz, and others. These are sometimes monitored on this stream, even though they are rarely used – they appear to be reserved for situational use. Even though there is usually significantly less activity on such frequencies, the purpose of monitoring them includes determining what those situational use cases are, if they're used outside known situational use cases, etc.
The frequency in use is indicated on the stream itself. The livestream and the frequencies monitored are handled using automatic, prescheduled scripts, with occasional manual overrides.
